About Criterion Partnership
The company was formed in 1991 by Richard Hunter, and now is entirely owned by the company’s directors. Criterion Partnership has a broad client list, ranging from retail to government. Candidates particularly in the UK may be likely to encounter Criterion Partnership psychometric tests during their job search.
Criterion Partnership ability tests
The most commonly used Criterion Partnership psychometric tests are the Utopia series tests, designed for top level managers, professionals and graduates. The Utopia series of tests is known for its generous time limits, to test cognitive “power” rather than speed of processing. These tests are often reported by candidates as being more enjoyable than other psychometric tests, due to their topical and upbeat content.
- Coast: Criterion Partnership have developed an online testing platform called Coast. This platform can deliver either their off-the-shelf series of tests (see below), or bespoke tests developed by Criterion for each client. Paper and pencil versions of their tests are also available.
- Utopia: Designed for professional and graduate level selection, the Utopia series of tests comprises numerical, verbal, and abstract critical reasoning tests.
- B2C: Designed for mid-level, customer service and team-leader roles, the B2C series of tests comprises numerical, verbal, and checking tests.
- CWS: Designed for blue collar, production and distribution level selection, the CWS series of tests comprises numerical, verbal, and mechanical reasoning tests.
Criterion Partnership personality tests
Criterion Partnership holds a compilation of personality questionnaire items and scales called the Criterion Attribute Library (CAL). This enables employers to customise the questionnaire used, including the specific personality traits requested by the company. Employers can choose from 46 different personality scales, and the CAL personality test may be used for selection, development, team building and leadership programs.
